Eric Ebron, former tight end for the Indianapolis Colts, did not hold back in an interview with TMZ Sports on September 6, 2025. He said the team cannot return to winning unless it makes big moves in the front office.

Ebron explained that poor choices since quarterback Andrew Luck retired in 2019 have kept the Colts stuck. He said the wrong people are making key calls, especially at quarterback. “They gotta change that front office a little bit,” Ebron said.

The Colts’ general manager, Chris Ballard, has been in charge since 2017. Ebron did not mention him directly, but his words suggested that those handling roster and draft choices must be replaced. “After Andrew Luck retired, I don’t think we’ve made a good decision yet as an organization,” he said.Ebron also spoke about two of his other teams, the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions. He sounded hopeful about their 2025–26 seasons but not about the Colts. His blunt tone made clear that he sees leadership as the team’s biggest problem. For Ebron, nothing will change in Indianapolis until the right people are making the calls.
