Basketball’s popular show “Inside the NBA” comes to an end on TNT and it has been a fan favourite for at least 40 years. On Saturday night, it was an emotional moment for all NBA stars where they sat down and discussed how emotional a moment it was for each one of them.

An emotional goodbye for all

For sports commentator Ernie Johnson, it was beautiful and emotional together. Right before he turned his back at the camera, and when he placed his mic on the desk, and got up from the chair, he said, “I’m proud to say for the last time, ‘Thanks for watching us. It's the NBA on TNT.”

With the new season, NBA will be broadcast on ABC and ESPN now, instead of TNT, thanks to a new 11-year-old deal now. Fans can also find NBA games on Amazon Prime Video.

For NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, it was indeed a beautiful moment. For him, even with the change of a name, not a lot will change. He said, “Even though the name changes, the engine is still the same, And to that new network we’re coming to, we’re not coming to (expletive) around. ... We’re taking over, OK? I love you guys and I appreciate you guys.”

For basketball coach Rick Carlisle, it was a sad moment. He said, “Congratulations to TNT on a fabulous, unbelievable run that’s coming to an end, We’re all very sad about that.”

Meanwhile, sports commentator Kevin Harlan reacted with much more gratitude in his heart. He said, “Our hearts are full of gratitude, not sadness, but gratitude and happiness for what has been. It has been an honor. It has been a privilege. And I hope you all have enjoyed it as much as we have.”For NBA legend and former basketball shooting guard Reggie Miller, it was a fortunate incident. He said, “Think about my life. I’m very fortunate, I’ve only known two things: 18 years with one franchise in this building with the Indiana Pacers, and 19 years with Turner.”Also Read: Who Is Reggie Miller?
