'Euphoria' Season 3: Zendaya, Alexa Demie, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi feature in new promo clip ahead of OTT release

'Euphoria' is finally returning with its third and final season, after a nearly four-year wait. The next chapter of the hit HBO drama is set to finally debut this April. Following the trailer launch, the makers on Wednesday teased fans with a new clip, offering a glimpse at their favourite characters.

"Taking the smallest moments and dreaming them up into something bigger," read the touching caption that featured the leading ladies Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie and Maude Apatow sharing a frame. The clip then also goes on to share glimpses of Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi.

The clip gave way to speculation that Sweeney's absence with the four ladies was because of her alleged fallout with Zendaya. Comments like "notice who ain’t there," to "Sidney not being in the group photo," and "lmao zendaya said NO promo with sydney and she meant it," flooded the post.

However, others noted that the scene in the clip may have been from the show's upcoming wedding scene. One fans wrote, "Lexi’s outfit is the one she wears at the wedding, so the others will probably be at Cassie’s wedding too.

About 'Euphoria' Season 3

According to series creator Sam Levinson, the third season will introduce a five-year time jump, and feature the characters long after their high school years. "We basically pick up Rue south of the border in Mexico, in debt to Laurie, trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off," Levinson said in a recent interview with Variety.

Addressing the much-talked-about wedding between Sydney and Jacob's characters, he said, "And then Cassie is living in the suburbs with Nate, they’re engaged and she’s very addicted to social media and envious of what appears to be the big lives that all of her high school classmates are living at this point in time." Levinson also confirmed that Nate and Cassie will marry before the end of the season.As per the report, the series will see the characters navigating new paths, with Jules is now attending art school, Maddy working at a Hollywood talent agency and pursuing additional "side hustles", Lexi Howard working as an assistant to a television showrunner, played by Sharon Stone.

The show will also deal with real-life losses of its stars like Angus Cloud, who passed away in 2023 after an accidental overdose and Eric Dane, who passed away in February 2026 after battling ALS.
