The Prohibition and Excise Department police questioned the accused in the spurious liquor case on Sunday while they were in judicial custody.
Following the court’s order granting five days of police custody, Excise officials took the accused — Srinivas Reddy, Pradeep Das, Badal Das, Ravi, Kalyan, Ramesh Babu, and Allabakshi — into custody on the third day and interrogated them on Sunday.
The Bhavanipuram Prohibition and Excise Department had registered a case related to the alleged spurious liquor manufacturing incident and, so far, arrested 19 persons. The arrested include the prime accused, Addepalli Janardhana Rao, his brother A. Jaganmohan Rao, former Minister Jogi Ramesh, and his brother Jogi Ramu.
