Exclusive - Raymon Kakkar recalls making acting debut playing Satish Shah’s onscreen daughter; says 'he never made me feel like a newcomer'

Veteran actor and comedian Satish Shah’s sudden death due to kidney failure on October 25 left the entire industry in shock. His co-stars are still in disbelief and grieving his passing. Actress Raymon Kakkar who made her acting debut back in 1995 along with the actor known for his comedy and humour in a film mourned Satish's death. The 'Rabb Se Hai Dua' actress said, "I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Satish Shah ji. He played my on-screen father in my very first film, Dance Party, and what a beautiful soul he was, humble, down-to-earth, and full of warmth."She continued, "I have such fond memories of working with him. On set, he was always guiding me, teaching me, explaining scenes with so much patience and kindness. Despite it being my first film, he never made me feel like a newcomer.

We shared so many fun moments together ,laughter, learning, and so much respect. I’ll always cherish those memories. Thank you, Satish ji, for your generosity, your guidance, and your light.

Rest in peace, a truly humble human being and a great actor"Raymon who also appeared in popular TV series, including Yeh Teri Galiyaan, Kkusum (2001), Bhabhi among others concluded adding, "The one thing I learned from Satish ji was patience.

He was an incredibly patient person, both as an artist and as a human being. He would often tell me that for an actor, patience is one of the most important qualities to have. On set, there are always long waiting hours , sometimes you’re called early in the morning, and because of some technical goof-up or scheduling issue, your shot doesn’t happen until evening.

It can be frustrating, but Satish ji would always remind me to stay calm and composed.

He believed that an actor should use that waiting time to observe, to understand the environment, and to stay ready rather than restless. That approach really stayed with me,it shaped the way I look at work and at life."As for the late actor Satish Shah, his diverse filmography includes popular hits such as the satirical black comedy Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983), Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Main Hoon Na, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Om Shanti Om, and Shaadi No. 1. His TV show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai still remains iconic.
