My mother’s strength inspires me to portray Indu Rani’s courage

In the new family drama Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan, Shraddha Jaiswal steps into the role of Indu Rani, a character layered with strength, vulnerability, and heart. The show, known for its powerful storytelling and emotional depth, highlights the journey of women who stand tall amidst life’s challenges — and Shraddha’s portrayal of Indu Rani has struck a deep chord with viewers.“Honestly, I feel really blessed to play such a strong character,” Shraddha shares. “I’ve done different roles before — positive, funny, typical ones — but Indu Rani is unlike anything I’ve played. She’s bold, loud, and dominating, yet funny, quirky, and deeply emotional. Seeing people connect with her so much is incredibly fulfilling.”Bringing Indu Rani’s shades to life has been both challenging and rewarding.

“Balancing her strength, humor, and emotional depth isn’t easy,” Shraddha admits. “What makes her relatable to me personally is that I see the same strength in my own mother. After I lost my father, my mother stayed strong for me and our family, playing both roles with grace and resilience. Watching her courage has inspired me to portray Indu Rani authentically.

The show stands out among family dramas for its grounded storytelling and focus on real emotions.

“Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan isn’t just about everyday family conflicts,” Shraddha explains. “It’s about women asserting themselves, finding their voice, and navigating life with dignity and strength. That’s what makes it unique.”Working under producers Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey, known for their distinctive storytelling, has been an enriching experience. “They truly understand the heart of the characters and bring out the best in us,” Shraddha says.

“Their guidance has helped me explore the nuances of Indu Rani’s personality more deeply than I ever imagined.”Looking ahead, Shraddha hopes audiences take away more than just entertainment. “I want viewers to see the power of women, the importance of identity, and the strength within family bonds,” she says. “Most importantly, I hope the story inspires people to recognize the quiet strength in their own lives — just like I’ve learned to appreciate my mother’s courage.”With Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan unfolding its heartfelt story, Shraddha Jaiswal’s portrayal of Indu Rani stands as a beautiful tribute to resilience, humor, and emotion — a character that lingers long after the screen fades.
