VIJAYAWADA: Municipal administration and urban development minister, Dr P Narayana said several Dubai-based companies have expressed keen interest in investing in Andhra Pradesh across various sectors following his three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates.
Speaking to the media after returning from Dubai visit, Dr Narayana said the discussions with top executives of leading companies had yielded positive indications of prospective investments in infrastructure, waste management, power, oil, gas, construction, and shipbuilding sectors. “We are expecting significant investments to flow into Andhra Pradesh soon. The chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s image, state’s investor-friendly policies, transparent governance, and ease of doing business have drawn attention from global companies,” he stated. Dr Narayana and his team held meetings with representatives of BEEAH facility management, Tecton Engineering and Construction, and Carbonatik companies during the four-day long visit. The minister invited the firms to participate in the upcoming global investors partnership summit to be held in Visakhapatnam on Nov 14 and 15. At the BEEAH facility in Sharjah, known for its global expertise in waste management and medical waste recovery, company representatives made a detailed presentation on modern waste collection and processing methods.
The minister explained the state’s vision to make all municipalities “dump-free” and invited BEEAH to establish waste management plants in Andhra Pradesh. In Ajman, Dr Narayana met with Tecton Engineering and Construction managing director S Laxman. The company, which has 22 years of experience in large-scale power, oil, gas, and infrastructure projects across multiple countries, expressed interest in partnering with the Andhra Pradesh govt on Amaravati’s development projects.
Later in Dubai, Dr Narayana held talks with Carbonatik, a U.S.-based multinational firm with operations in mining, shipbuilding, inland waterways, and aviation. The company evinced interest in exploring investment opportunities in shipbuilding and aviation projects in Andhra Pradesh.
