This response comes after an earlier incident where Siddaramaiah allegedly threatened and attempted to slap an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in public view. The Karnataka government has been attempting damage control, with Home Minister G. Parameshwara stating that the action was not intentional and that the ASP would be transferred.
