When Hrithik Roshan talked about his traumatic childhood
The ‘War 2’ star Hrithik Roshan has always been very candid about his stuttering. While interacting with the media on several occasions, he never shied away from sharing the tough times he saw because of his stammering.In an old interview with the Indian Express, Hrithik confessed that during his school days, his stuttering reached a point where he couldn’t speak. Today, surrounded by fans, the actor said that back then he had no friends or girlfriend. “I was very shy and would come back from school and just cry,” he told the news portal.
In addition to his stammering issue, young Hrithik had a problem with his spine. The doctors told him he cannot be an actor, and he cannot dance.
Seeing his future going into the dark right in front of his eyes, Hrithik was shattered. “It was so heartbreaking and relieving that feeling of knowing that I could not become an actor…I am disabled. So it was very traumatising,” said the actor.
When Hrithik locked himself in a bathroom
His father, Rakesh Roshan, also spoke about Hrithik’s condition in his recent interview with ANI. To see his son struggle, Rakesh Roshan was heartbroken as well. Recalling the challenging time, Rakesh Roshan shared that once, when Hrithik was in Dubai and wanted to say, ‘Thank you, Dubai,’ he couldn’t, as he got stuck on ‘D’. “He locked himself in the bathroom to learn that sentence,” said the filmmaker.

‘When the going gets tough, the tough get going,’ Billy OceanRakesh Roshan, in his interview, also mentioned that Hrithik worked really hard on himself, and it's been more than a decade, he hasn’t faced any issues. His daughter and Hrithik’s sister Sunaina also praises the actor. She told Pinkvilla Hrithik would wake up as early as 4:35 to work on his speech impediment.The actor today is thankful for the problems he faced as a child. He believes it gave him strength and perseverance. He now knows that no matter what curveball life throws at him, he will come out stronger.
