Farah Khan reveals Anil Kapoor didn't want her to choreograph initially
In an interview with Lehren Retro, Farah openly discussed her experience, recalling that her first major challenge came from a leading star. "I never had any problems with working with stars. Though when I was working on '1942: A Love Story', Anil Kapoor had a problem with me," she said.Reportedly, Anil was skeptical if Farah could handle such a major project. Farah revealed that he expressed his concerns to director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, saying, "You should call Saroj Khan."
Farah Khan says Anil Kapoor later apologized to her
After they started shooting the first song for the film, her choreography skills won over the star. "The minute I shot the first song, Anil had no problem," she recalled. She revealed that Anil Kapoor didn't hesitate to apologize to a newcomer in the industry.
She said, "And he was big enough to come to me and say sorry, saying, 'I thought you wouldn’t be able to do it.'"Since then, the duo shares a great bond with each other. Their camaraderie during their appearance together on Kapil Sharma's comedy show was the proof of their close friendship.
On the work front
Anil Kapoor will next feature in the film titled 'Welcome to the Jungle'. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the movie is the third installment of the 'Welcome' franchise. On the other hand, Farah has been busy with her YouTube vlogs. Recently, she also started a show named 'Aunty Kisko Bola' with her brother Sajid Khan and Govinda's wife Ssunita Ahuja on YouTube.
