Fresh revelations have surfaced in the ongoing investigation into the November 10 car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, with the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Jammu and Kashmir Police uncovering crucial evidence from Dr Parvez Ansari’s residence in Madiyaon in Lucknow.

During a joint raid, officials seized three keypad mobile phones, a hard disk, and several electronic gadgets from Parvez’s house, suggesting that Parvez used keypad phones as a deliberate move to avoid digital surveillance and encryption tracking.

Sources revealed that Dr Parvez, who was recently arrested from Lucknow, had been in frequent contact with Dr Muzammil Ahmad Ganai, a close aide of Dr Umar Nabi, the driver of the car involved in the blast near the Red Fort.

It was also known that Parvez maintained constant communication with his sister, Dr Shaheen Saeed, a medical practitioner from Uttar Pradesh who is suspected of financing and facilitating the terror network behind the Red Fort explosion.

Investigations have revealed that Parvez had resigned from his post at Lucknow’s Integral University just a week before his arrest, heightening suspicion about his activities in the days leading up to the blast.

The Red Fort explosion, which claimed at least 12 lives and left several injured, is now being linked to a “transnational terror module" that had operatives spread across Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttar Pradesh. Seven suspects, including medical professionals, have so far been arrested.

Among them are Dr Muzammil Ahmad Ganai, Dr Aadil Rather, and Dr Umar, who allegedly drove the car that exploded near the Red Fort Metro Station. Investigators say the group used encrypted communication channels for coordination, indoctrination, and logistics.

Subsequent raids have yielded nearly 3,000 kilograms of explosive materials, detonators, and timers from an apartment in Faridabad, one of the largest hauls in recent years.

Police have also traced connections to a cleric from Shopian, who allegedly radicalised members and helped recruit new operatives.

With the National Investigation Agency (NIA) now leading the probe, officials are examining the financial and digital trail linking Parvez and his associates to the broader network.

Security agencies are also scrutinising whether Parvez played a role in logistical coordination or funding of the Delhi car blast.

The Red Fort explosion case continues to widen, revealing how educated professionals were allegedly drawn into a larger web of radicalisation and cross-border terror operations.
