A farmer was injured in a tiger attack during a combing operation carried out in H.D. Kote on Thursday.
The incident took place in Badaganpura village bordering the forests, and the farmer, identified as Made Gowda, was at his field when the tiger pounced on and mauled him. He was left with severe injuries and was profusely bleeding when he was shifted to a hospital for treatment. His condition is reported to be critical.
The combing operation was conducted following complaints by local villagers of cattle kills since the last few days.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) has urged the government to meet the medical expenditure of the farmer.
