Farmer Run Over By Thar, Daughters Assaulted In Madhya Pradesh Over Land Dispute

MP Shocker: A group of around 15 man attacked a farmer and his family. They allegedly killed the farmer and tore clothes of his wife and two teenage girls.

In a shocking case of brutality, a farmer was allegedly crushed to death by a Thar over a land dispute in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district. As per the police, a group of around 15 persons attacked the farmer and his family. Four others got injured in the attack. Reportedly, the farmer’s daughters were also beaten up and stripped.

The incident took place on Sunday in Ganeshpura village under Fatehgarh police station limits when the victims were going to their fields. The dispute occurred over “six bigha" of agricultural land.

40-year-old victim, Ramswaroop Nagar, was killed after the jeep allegedly ran over him. As per reports, the accused attacked the victims with sticks, rods and sharp-edged weapons.

The assault happened when the victim was going to his field along with his 38-year-old wife, their daughter aged 17, and two relatives — a 17-year-old girl and a 50-year-old man.

The attackers also allegedly tore the clothes of Ramswaroop’s wife and the two teenage girls when they tried to intervene and stop the attack.

The family reached the district hospital in torn clothes, where Ramswaroop succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Sub-Divisional Officer of Police Vivek Asthana told PTI that the assault was carried out by around 15 persons led by Mahendra Nagar, a resident of Rajasthan.

A case has been registered and police are trying to locate Nagar.
