Farmers protest in Jeypore

Koraput: Alleging irregularities in the paddy procurement process for Rabi marketing season, Krushak Kalyan Manch members staged a dharna in front of the district civil supplies office in Jeypore on Tuesday.The agitating farmers later submitted a memorandum to the district administration through the civil supplies officer, seeking immediate intervention to address a host of procurement-related issues. The protest was led by Krushak Kalyan Manch secretary Narendra Kumar Pradhan, who claimed that several farmers across the district were facing difficulties in selling paddy due to alleged irregularities at procurement centres.
