In a significant boost to the ongoing development of the State capital region, farmers from Undavalli and Penumaka villages have voluntarily come forward to contribute 40.25 acres of land under the Amaravati Land Pooling Scheme (LPS).
In fact, this small land is very essential in completing the long pending Seed Access Road, which had gone into construction about a decade ago and was laid from Thullur to Undavalli. Now, this main road has to be connected with the National Highway and for that the government required some more land apart from the latest voluntary contribution. The APCRDA is also contemplating to take the remaining land either through LPS or acquisition process.
According to officials, 22 farmers from Undavalli have offered 12 acres, while 14 farmers from Penumaka have contributed 28.25 acres. Agreements were finalized following fruitful discussions led by APCRDA Commissioner K. Kannababu.
Mr. Kannababu’s direct talks with the farmers proved successful, reflecting renewed confidence among landowners in the capital region’s development process, informed the APCRDA officials on this occasion here on Thursday (October 16). The Commissioner, along with Additional Commissioner Bhargav Teja, expressed special gratitude to the farmers from both villages for their voluntary cooperation and trust in the government’s vision for Amaravati.
The APCRDA has also intensified works on key infrastructure projects, including the Amaravati Seed Access Road, Kondaveeti Vagu flood management structures, and other arterial roads, aimed at accelerating the city’s core development activities.
