Shamla Hamza celebrated her thrilling win of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress, marking her second film, 'Feminichi Fathima.' The movie also triumphed with accolades for Second Best Film and Best Debut Director. Adding to her excitement, the legendary Mammootty, awarded Best Actor, reached out with heartfelt congratulations, leaving Hamza overjoyed.
Actor Shamla Hamza, who has been honoured with the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress, expressed heartfelt joy over receiving the recognition for her second film, Feminichi Fathima.Speaking to ANI, the actor said, “This is just my second film, and I’m overjoyed and thrilled to have received the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress. I got the opportunity to be part of this project because of 1001 Nunakal, and I’m truly grateful to the entire team and to director Fasil Muhammed for believing in me.” The film, directed by debutant Fasil Muhammed, not only brought Shamla her first major accolade but also earned Second Best Film and Best Debut Director awards at the 55th Kerala State Film Awards, making it one of the standout winners this year.
A message from Mammootty
Following the announcement, Shamla Hamza received an outpouring of love and congratulations from the Malayalam film fraternity — most notably from veteran actor Mammootty, who himself won the Best Actor award for his dual-role performance in Bramayugam.
Reflecting on his congratulatory message, Shamla said with delight, “I really don’t know what to say. I am so happy seeing his message. He just said, ‘Congratulations,’ and that is really enough for me to be happy.
”Written and directed by Fasil Muhammed, Feminichi Fathima narrates the story of Fathima, a housewife living in a conservative coastal town.

Meanwhile, in a media interaction, Mammootty shared his gratitude after bagging the Best Actor award. Talking to Manorama Online, the 'Bramayugam' actor said, "Thank you, everyone. Congratulations to all who won awards along with me. Congratulations to Asif Ali and Tovino Thomas. Congratulations to Shamla Hamsa, who was chosen as Best Actress, to Soubin Shahir, who won Best Supporting Actor, and to Siddharth Bharathan as well.
