Financial assistance given to kin of man who drowned in lake near Rasipuram

NAMAKKAL: The state govt on Saturday gave Rs 3 lakh financial assistance to the kin of a man who drowned in a lake at Kattipalayam near Rasipuram.M Palaniswami, 33, of Ponparappipatty village in Rasipuram taluk drowned in the Kattipalayam lake on Oct 26 while fishing.Adi dravidar welfare minister Dr M Mathivendan and Rajya Sabha member K R N Rajeshkumar presented a cheque for Rs 3 lakh to the family members of the deceased and expressed their condolences."Chief minister M K Stalin expressed his condolences to the family and ordered a compensation of Rs 3 lakh from the public relief fund," Rajesh Kumar said.
