A fire broke out at the Loni police station in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad on Saturday night, engulfing around 15 to 20 seized vehicles parked within the premises, officials said.

According to the police, the blaze rapidly spread through the yard where impounded vehicles were kept, damaging multiple cars and two-wheelers. No loss of lives or injuries had been reported in the incident by the time of filing this story.

Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot and firefighters managed to bring the flames under control after nearly an hour of effort.

Visuals from the spot showed police personnel and firefighters carrying out intensive efforts to douse the flames. Additional police teams were also deployed and reached the location to assist in the operation.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Fire department officials have launched an investigation into the incident.
