Fire breaks out on 7th floor of Atlantic Building in Mumbai’s Bandra West

MUMBAI: A fire broke out on the seventh floor of Atlantic Building on Sherly Rajan Road in Bandra West on Wednesday night.According to the Mumbai fire brigade, the incident was reported at 9.

12pm through the civic control room. Firefighters rushed to the spot along with police personnel, 108 ambulance services, Adani electricity staff and local ward officials.The fire brigade upgraded the incident to a Level-I fire at 9. 56pm. The affected structure is a ground-plus-seven-storey building, with the blaze reported on the top floor.One person is likely trapped however fire fighters are finding it difficult to access the premises owing to the spread of the blaze, said locals.The exact cause and extent of the fire were not immediately known.Further details are awaited.
