To cater to the extra rush of passengers during the forthcoming Ganesh Chaturthi, Dasara, Deepavali and Chhath festivals, South Western Railway, Hubballi, has decided to operate special train services from Yesvantpur and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru towards various destinations.
These services will help decongest regular trains and provide convenient travel options for festival-bound passengers.
Train No 06563 Yesvantpur-Dhanbad Weekly Express Special will run every Saturday from August 23 to December 27, leaving Yesvantpur at 7.30 a.m. and reaching Dhanbad at 11 a.m. on Monday. In the return direction, Train No 06564 Dhanbad-Yesvantpur Weekly Express Special will run every Monday from August 25 to December 29, leaving Dhanbad at 8.45 p.m. and arriving at Yesvantpur at 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both trains will make 19 trips in each direction.
En route, the train will halt at Yelahanka, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Gooty, Dhone, Kurnool City, Mahbubnagar, Kacheguda, Kazipet, Ramagundam, Balharshah, Nagpur, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Madan Mahal, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki, Mirzapur, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Jn., Bhabua Road, Sasaram, Anugrah Narayan Road, Gaya, Koderma, Hazaribagh Road, Parasnath and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Gomoh stations in both directions.
The train will comprise 21 coaches, two AC 3-Tier, 13 Sleeper Class, four General Second Class and two SLR/D coaches.
Train No 06529 Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru-Gomti Nagar Weekly Express Special will run every Monday from August 25 to November 3, leaving SMVT Bengaluru at 7 p.m. and reaching Gomti Nagar at 11.30 a.m. on Thursday.
In the return direction, Train No 06530 Gomti Nagar-SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Express Special will run every Friday from August 29 to November 7, leaving Gomti Nagar at 12.20 p.m. and arriving at SMVT Bengaluru at 8.15 a.m. on Monday. Both trains will make 12 trips in each direction.
En route, the train will halt at Tumakuru, Arsikere, Kadur, Davangere, SMM Haveri, SSS Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Ghatprabha, Miraj, Sangli, Karad, Satara, Pune, Daund Chord Line, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Rani Kamalapati, Bina, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Orai, Pokhrayan, Govindpuri, Prayagraj Junction, Gyanpur Road, Banaras, Varanasi, Aunrihar, Mau, Belthara Road, Bhatni, Deoria Sadar, Gorakhpur, Basti and Gonda stations in both directions.
The train will consist of 20 coaches, one AC First Class, two AC 2-Tier, four AC 3-Tier, seven Sleeper Class, four General Second Class and two SLR/D coaches.
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, South Western Railway will run special train services between SMVT Bengaluru-Bidar, Mysuru-Tirunelveli and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru-Madgaon.
Train No 06549 will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 9.15 p.m. on August 26 and reach Bidar at 11.30 a.m. on August 27. In the return direction, Train No 06550 will leave Bidar at 2.30 p.m. on August 27 and arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 4.30 a.m. on Thursday.
The train will run with 22 coaches and stop at Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Adoni, Mantralayam Road, Raichur, Krishna, Yadgir, Wadi, Shahabad, Kalaburagi and Humnabad stations in both directions.
Train No 06241 Mysuru-Tirunelveli Express Special will leave Mysuru at 8.15 p.m. on August 26 and reach Tirunelveli at 10.50 a.m. on Wednesday. In the return direction, Train No 06242 will leave Tirunelveli at 3.40 p.m. on August 27 and arrive at Mysuru at 5.50 a.m. the next day.
The train will have 20 coaches and stop at Mandya, Kengeri, KSR Bengaluru, Bengaluru Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarpet, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar and Satur stations in both directions.
Train No 06569 Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru-Madgaon Express Special will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 1 p.m. on August 26 and reach Madgaon at 5.30 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, Train No 06570 will leave Madgaon at 6.30 a.m. on August 27 and arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 11.40 p.m. the same day.
The train will run with 16 coaches and stop at Chikkabanavar, Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, Bantwal, Surathkal, Mulki, Udupi, Kundapur, Byndoor, Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Honnavar, Kumta, Gokarna Road, Ankola and Karwar stations in both directions.
