Motihari: Four Sudanese nationals and a Bolivian were arrested late Saturday evening by a joint team of police and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) near Ghorasahan in East Champaran. They had sneaked into Bihar from Nepal by crossing the porous India-Nepal border.Unable to cross the Raxaul checkpost without valid documents, they took a rural road through Nepal and crossed the border secretly near Agarawa village close to Ghorasahan. Acting on a tip-off, the SSB and police team caught them near Ghorasahan market while they were heading towards the bus stand.According to police, all those arrested are aged between 30 and 40. Their documents were examined and the matter is now being probed by Sikrahana SDPO Uday Shankar and other security agencies.The arrested men were identified as Abdul Fitah (44), Rama Siddiqui (38), Ali Abdul Gaffar (27), and Ahamad Daffala (37), all residents of Sudan, along with Miguel Solani Chaveza from Bolivia. East Champaran SP Swarn Prabhat said, “These foreigners were arrested after entering Bihar without any valid visa or other documents. The police are taking further action against them.”SDPO Uday Shankar said the five were preparing to board a bus for Patna from the Ghorasahan bus stand. “They are being interrogated to determine their motive for entering Bihar and other details,” he said.It may be recalled that 11 foreigners, including four Chinese nationals and a Khalistani terrorist, were earlier arrested at Raxaul on the India-Nepal border while attempting to enter Bihar without visa or passport.
