Flood-like situation in Assam's Lakhimpur, people use wood logs to commute

A video by news agency ANI shows residents using wooden logs to navigate through water in the Ghunasuti Area of Assam's Lakhimpur, which is the worst-hit district in Assam with over 40 thousand people affected.

A total of 17 districts in Assam were hit by floods and landslides and over 78,000 people were affected, with over 1,200 taking shelter in five different relief camps. So far, at least 25 people have been killed across the Northeast after days of torrential rain.
