Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are in talks for a 2026 Netflix rematch, reigniting their legendary rivalry after their record-breaking 2015 bout.

A decade after their record-breaking showdown, boxing legends Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao could be gearing up for a sensational rematch.

According to The Ring’s Mike Coppinger, discussions are underway for Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 to headline a major Netflix boxing event in 2026, reigniting one of the sport’s most iconic rivalries.

“I am hearing from reliable sources that Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao — yes, more than ten years later — a rematch is being seriously discussed to take place next year on Netflix," Coppinger revealed on the Inside The Ring podcast.

“I think there’s a real possibility this is going to happen."

Their first bout in 2015 was the most lucrative fight in boxing history, generating 4.6 million pay-per-view buys and nearly $600 million in revenue.

Mayweather outscored Pacquiao in a tactical 12-round affair, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest defensive boxers ever.

Mayweather, 48, hasn’t boxed since 2017 when he ran his record to 50-0 with a 10th-round TKO victory over UFC star Conor McGregor.

However, Mayweather has remained around boxing with a slew of exhibition events, including a 2021 meeting with Logan Paul.

After Mayweather comfortably outpointed Pacquiao in 2015, it was revealed that Pacquiao had competed with a torn rotator cuff.

Now, with Pacquiao returning to the ring after a credible draw against Mario Barrios in July, the timing for a sequel seems ideal.

Netflix, which recently ventured into combat sports promotion, is reportedly eyeing the blockbuster as part of its push into live sports.

No official date or venue has been confirmed, and it remains unclear if Pacquiao will fight earlier in 2026 before potentially meeting Mayweather again.

Especially given that Pacquiao has also now taken up the helm at the IBA, having been appointed as their new vice-president.
