FMGE December 2025: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the schedule for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2025 session.

The examination will be conducted on 17 January, 2026 in computer-based mode at various centres across the country.According to the official notice, the Information Bulletin for FMGE December 2025 will be available on the NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in, from 14 November, 2025 (3:00 PM onwards). The online application window will open on the same day and remain active till 4 December, 2025 (11:55 PM).The examination is conducted for Indian students who have completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognised foreign university and wish to practise medicine in India.

Qualifying the FMGE screening test is mandatory for such candidates to register as doctors in the country.

FMGE June 2025: Overview

The NBEMS conducts the FMGE screening test twice a year, in June and December, in computer-based mode.As per the FMGE June 2025 results, out of 37,207 registered candidates, 36,034 appeared, and only 6,707 qualified. This reflects a pass rate of around 18%, while the failure rate stood at 81.39%, higher than in previous years.

As per the qualifying criteria, candidates must score at least 150 marks out of 300 to be declared qualified.Note: Candidates are advised to refer to the Information Bulletin on the official NBEMS website for details regarding eligibility criteria, fee structure, and other relevant instructions, once released.
