The IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Communication Networks and Computational Techniques (ICICNCT-2025) was inaugurated on Thursday at Guru Nanak Bhavan on Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) campus in Bidar.
The event, organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, witnessed enthusiastic participation from academics, researchers, industry professionals and students.
The conference was inaugurated in the presence of distinguished academics. Professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain, Jaime Lloret Mouri attended was the chief guest and keynote speaker.
Delivering the keynote address, Prof. Mouri highlighted recent advancements in intelligent communication networks and their applications in emerging technologies.
Sobhan Babu from IIT Hyderabad, who was a guest of honour, underscored the importance of making India self-reliant through research and innovation.
Parameshwarachari B. D. from NMIT Bengaluru spoke on the contribution of IEEE Bengaluru Section in facilitating the event at GNDEC in Bidar, while Abhishek Deshmukh from IEEE North Karnataka Sub-Section lauded the efforts of the organisers and promised support.
The event was organised under the patronage of GNDEC Chairman S. Balbir Singh and Vice-Chairperson Reshma Kaur.
Presiding over the function, Ms. Kaur said that the institution is committed not only to advancing academics but also to fostering research and innovation.
Stressing that “true wisdom comes from serving others”, she spoke of the scholarships offered by the trust to students from economically weaker sections of society and girl students as well as the charity multi-specialty hospital it runs. The hospital provides free dialysis services to poor patients.
Principal of GNDEC Veena Soraganvi, Vice-Principal Dhananjay M., Electronics and Communication Engineering Department Head Kishan Singh, faculty members Savita Soma and Namrata, apart from academics Sardar Pavit Singh and Jasmineet Kaur, were present.
