With this father-son themed film the actor brings to life an emotional and inspiring story that revolves around family bonds, self-discovery, and second chances. As the film is doing well at the box office, ETimes interviewed Siddharth Randeria where he opened up about the film's powerful message, his character's journey, and much more.
“Jindagi Once More” has a hopeful and inspiring title. What does the film’s title mean to you personally?
For me the film represents the possibility of rediscovering oneself. Life may take us away from the person we once were, but it is never too late to find that spark again, begin a new chapter, and live with renewed purpose.
What attracted you to this project when you first heard the script?
The emotional honesty of the father-son relationship immediately drew me to it. It is a simple and relatable story, but it speaks about something very profound — a son discovering the person his father once was and helping him reconnect with that part of himself. I found that journey extremely moving.
Let us know about your character and what makes him unique?
I play a father who has gradually become disconnected from the more vibrant and extraordinary version of himself. What makes him interesting is that his strength has not disappeared; it has simply been buried under time, responsibilities, and circumstances.
His journey is not about becoming someone new, but about rediscovering who he has always been.
Why do you think audiences of all ages will connect with this story?
At its heart, this is a story about family, unspoken emotions, and second chances. Parents will understand the sacrifices and responsibilities that shape the father. Younger audiences will connect with the son’s attempt to understand and rediscover him. I believe every family will recognise a part of itself in this relationship.
