Foreigner found dead at Arambol beach

Panaji: An unidentified body of a foreign national was found on the shore at Arambol.Police said that on Saturday, Mandrem police received a written memo from the on-duty medical officer at Tuem community health centre (CHC) stating that the unidentified woman, aged 40-45 years, was brought to the casualty by ambulance.

Police said that the doctor at the CHC declared her brought dead and suspected she drowned.Mandrem police registered it as an unnatural death. Police said that their enquiry revealed that the woman was found motionless on Arambol beach.The police described the woman as medium build, fair complexion, with golden brownish hair, wearing black clothes. Police said that the body has been preserved at GMC, Bambolim.Further investigation is in progress under PSI Jaydeep Palyekar.
