Former 'Ellen' child star Sophia Grace announces third pregnancy just over a year after giving birth to daughter Athena: 'We are so excited'

Sophia Grace Brownlee announced she was expecting her third child with her family. The 23-year-old YouTube sensation shared the exciting news through footage of her sonogram and growing baby bump on social media.

The announcement came just over a year after she gave birth to daughter Athena in December 2024.In a heartwarming video posted to her Instagram, Brownlee played in a grassy yard with her two children, River and Athena, and showed them their sibling's sonogram. The video included footage Brownlee took of her bump in front of the mirror, as she gently stroked her growing torso. "We are so excited to meet you," the post was captioned, expressing the family's joy at the upcoming arrival.

Brownlee had previously shared sweet photos of herself and her daughter Athena on social media, celebrating the milestone of her birth. When she had her first child, River, Brownlee was just 19 years old. She later gave birth to Athena when she was 21. Despite her young age when starting her family, Brownlee did not regret her decisions and spoke candidly about her choices in interviews.During an appearance on the Private Story podcast, Brownlee reflected on becoming a mother at such a young age.

"I was quite young when I had River. I was 19, which I do feel like is quite young," Brownlee said.

"I don't regret, like, doing anything because I'm quite happy with where I am now. When I had Athena, I was 21, which is a bit more older," Brownlee continued. The media personality acknowledged that having children young was unconventional but emphasised that maturity mattered more than age. "It's obviously young to have kids, but I don't really think there's a right age to have kids as long as you're ready and you're mature enough, that's all that matters," Brownlee explained.

She also expressed gratitude for being in a financially secure position to support her family, noting that without financial stability she would have "been struggling a lot.

Brownlee rocketed to fame when she became a viral sensation after appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show as an eight-year-old singer. She performed a Nicki Minaj song alongside her five-year-old cousin Rosie McClelland, who is now 19. The duo subsequently made numerous appearances on the show, charming the powerful comedian with their adorable accents, precocious personalities and love of pink tutus.
