In the newly released video, which surfaced through TMZ Sports, Adam Jones, who was involved in a disturbance in a local bar, is seen interacting tensely with two Covington officers before being restrained against a police vehicle.

The authorities alleged Adam Jones was drunk and acting in a disorderly manner. He was booked into the Kenton County Detention Center after his arrest. But things changed dramatically after Adam Jones released what seems like surveillance footage showing one officer roughly grabbing him, which has now led to a question about the use of force during the arrest.

Jones' representative, Peter Schaffer, issued a forceful statement after the incident, asserting that his client was simply exercising his constitutional right to ask why he was being held in custody.

“Initially, officers claimed he was being arrested for assault and then shifted to public intoxication (which, in itself, is not a crime in many jurisdictions unless it leads to dangerous behavior), and finally settled on disorderly conduct, simply for asking why he was being detained,” Schaffer said in a statement.

This recent incident is at least the fourth arrest of Jones since 2021. He was previously arrested for the first time at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in 2023 and again following the Jake Paul vs.

Mike Tyson boxing bout in Las Vegas in November of 2024, both of which were also for offenses involving alcohol and public conduct. Jones, who last played in the NFL in 2018, spent most of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals after being drafted by the Tennessee Titans and playing briefly with the Dallas Cowboys. His post-NFL years have been marred by multiple run-ins with law enforcement, many of which have ended with charges that were later dropped or reduced.
