WWE superstar Bayley has worked with a lot of wrestlers during her tenure with the Stamford-based promotion. One of those names is Indi Hartwell, who exited the promotion in November 2024.
In an interesting turn of events, Hartwell took to her Instagram stories to thank The Role Model for "retiring" her. She wrote: "Thank you for retiring me."Today marked Bayley's 37th birthday, and Hartwell had dropped a photo with the former SmackDown Women's Champion for the same. Her statement was in the context of her last match in WWE, in which Bayley was involved. The Role Model had teamed up with Naomi to square off against Indi Hartwell and her partner, Candice LeRae, in a tag team match on the October 25 tapings of Friday Night SmackDown.
This marked her last televised match for the TKO-led promotion, and she was released on November 1.
Former WWE star Indi Hartwell and Bayley are now part of different promotions
Following her WWE release, Indi Hartwell joined one of their partner promotions, TNA Wrestling. She made her debut on April 27 2025 at their Rebellion pay-per-view, where the Australian wrestler appeared in the audience. Since then, she has been a top cornerstone for the TNA Knockouts division and wrestled top stars like Masha Slamovic and Killer Kelly.
On the other hand, Bayley is still a part of the WWE, entering her 14th year with the company. She has worked her way up to become a pioneer in the Women's Evolution and is considered one of the most successful women's wrestlers of this generation. Moreover, Bayley has been teaming up with rising star Lyra Valkyria since last year. The duo even earned a shot to challenge for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 41.
However, she was mysteriously attacked by Becky Lynch, who took her spot. A few months later, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria rekindled their partnership; however, it went through its own ups and downs. A year later at WrestleMania 42, the duo was finally able to compete as a team in the Fatal 4-Way tag team matches for the Women's Tag titles. As Bayley continues to be a part of WWE as a veteran, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for her. Also read: Did Dwayne Johnson have cancer?
