Fortnite servers are set to go offline soon. This will happen as Epic Games is set to roll out the v40.30 update of the game. The scheduled maintenance will begin at 4 a.m. ET (8 a.m. UTC), with downtime affecting players globally at the same time.
As with previous updates, the servers will be temporarily shut down to deploy the new patch, making all game modes unavailable during the maintenance window. Players are advised to complete matches or ongoing challenges before the servers go offline.

The v40.30 update rollout will follow a synchronised global schedule.Here are the start times in some key regions:

- Mountain Time (MT): 2:00 a.m.
- Central Time (CT): 3:00 a.m.
- Eastern Time (ET): 4:00 a.m.
- Greenwich Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) 8:00 a.m.
- Central European Time (CET) 9:00 a.m.
- Eastern European Time (EET) 10:00 a.m. India
- Singapore Standard Time (SGT): 1.30 PM. Time (SGT): 4:00 p.m.

Matchmaking is expected to be disabled around 30 minutes before downtime begins.
Once the update starts, servers will go offline, and the maintenance period is expected to last around two hours. During this time, modes such as Battle Royale, Zero Build, LEGO Fortnite, Reload and Fortnite OG will not be available. Epic Games’ status page and social media are official channels where players can follow server updates in real-time.
