The Fortnite Simpsons update is nearly here, and it is kicking off with a special “Welcome, Our Alien Overlords” mini-event. The event features Kang and Kodos from the popular animated show, who will be introducing Springfield into the battle royale title.
The Alien Overlords is basically a live event, and Epic Games has created a separate playlist for the same, which you can access just before it starts. Following this, there will be a maintenance break, and it will last for around 5 hours. Once the maintenance ends, all the new Simpsons-themed content will flow into Fortnite. Fortnite Simpsons live event date and time
The Fortnite Simpsons Alien Overlords live event takes place on November 1st at 11:00 AM EST in a special dedicated playlist. This is a one-time event, and there will be no reruns if you end up missing it. Here are further details on joining the event:Log inearly
- The most critical step would be to sign into Fortnite a few hours before the event. You must not wait until the end moment because event queues are quite long, and you might end up getting stuck, missing the event.
Prepare your outfit and other things
- Before you join the live event’s playlist, you must have picked your desired outfit. This is because leaving to change your appearance will force you back into the queue, which could take a lot of your time. Thus, choose your outfits beforehand.
Join the playlist
- Epic Games has created a dedicated playlist for the Alien Overlords live event, and you will essentially be placed in a waiting area before the event commences. Accordingly, you can join the playlist approximately 30 minutes before the event begins. This will ensure that you are ready when the event commences at 11:00 AM EST.
What to expect from the live event
Although not a lot of details have been confirmed yet, the event will basically transition Chapter 6 into The Simpsons collaboration. The island will be transformed into Springfield, and there will also be a themed battle pass being made available in Fortnite. The mini-season will operate for a period of one month, giving you sufficient time to test out all the new content. Keep in mind that you complete the ongoing battle pass and other pending objectives as they will become unavailable as soon as the live event commences. As a result, you might end up missing out on the free rewards.
