The Forza support team has issued a warning to Forza Horizon 6 players after reports of lost or reset save game progress. The developers said they are investigating the issue and have advised affected users to contact support as soon as possible to improve their chances of recovering their progress.
In a statement, the team said players who experience save data loss should immediately submit a support ticket. The support team said, “This will allow our team to investigate your case and attempt to recover your save profile by reverting your progress back to an earlier save. We highly advise that you submit your ticket the same day the issue occurs to increase the chances of recovery. There are players who say they have used these vehicles without issue, but community members have generally advised against modding them by painting the cars, applying liveries or decals, and sharing designs until more information is available.”The developers have asked players not to create new saves or start new game sessions until their support request has been reviewed. While the exact cause of the issue has not been confirmed, reports within the Forza Horizon 6 community suggest it may be related to a limited selection of cars recently introduced as in-game rewards.
Forza Horizon 6 players are advised to avoid certain cars and follow save precautions
According to reports from players, the issue may be associated with specific vehicles, including the 1993 Schuppan 962CR, 2003 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning, 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000QV, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, and the 2020 Wuling Sunshine S Forza Edition.
There are players who say they have used these vehicles without issue, but community members have generally advised against modding them by painting the cars, applying liveries or decals, and sharing designs until more information is available. In addition to investigating the issue, the support team has shared several recommendations to reduce the risk of loss of progress.Developers are suggesting Xbox Series X|S users playing Forza Horizon 6 turn off the Quick Resume feature.
Players are also encouraged to stay connected to the internet when leaving the game, allow plenty of time for cloud sync to complete, avoid force-closing the game during saves, and not switch off the console during active gameplay. The support team also highlighted additional risks for players who switch between platforms, such as moving between Xbox consoles, PCs, and cloud gaming services.“Before turning off your console, shutting down your PC, or force closing the Steam app, give your devices or clients at least a few minutes to ensure your latest progress has been synchronised with the cloud. This will reduce the risk of progress reversions as you switch between different platforms. Xbox Series X|S consoles, Steam, and the Xbox app on PC all include game save indicators that confirm your progress has been synced,” the team noted. The developers have not yet provided a timeline for a fix or disclosed what may be causing the save file issue. Until further information is available, affected players are being encouraged to report incidents promptly and follow the recommended precautions to minimise the risk of losing game progress.
