Four Panchayat Secretaries from Khammam, Jagtial, Kothagudem, and Adilabad districts were suspended for crediting funds into beneficiaries’ accounts even before houses were sanctioned under the Indiramma Indlu scheme of the State Government.

Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that no one, however influential, would be spared if found guilty of harassing or exploiting poor beneficiaries in the Indiramma housing scheme.

The Minister reviewed complaints received at the call center recently set up at the Housing Corporation, along with Housing Corporation MD V.P. Gautam and CAGG ADG Sangram Singh Patil, at his Secretariat chambers on Friday.

In Suryapet district, Indiramma Committee member Satteyya was removed for demanding Rs.10,000 from a beneficiary. In Jangaon district, a village secretary was found demanding Rs. 30,000 from a woman beneficiary. The Minister ordered a full probe and a report within 24 hours.

Banks deducting old dues from funds meant for house construction will also face serious action, and a letter is being sent to the State-Level Bankers Committee, he said.

The Minister urged beneficiaries to report corruption by calling the toll-free number 1800-599-5991. To resolve Aadhaar-linked payment issues, the Minister instructed officials to correct mismatched Aadhaar details and bank records by September 25, ensuring all payments are cleared before the Dasara festival. A new mobile app enabling beneficiaries to make corrections themselves will be launched in the next few days.
