Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are stepping back into their iconic mother-daughter roles as Tess and Anna Coleman in 'Freakier Friday,' a much anticipated sequel to the 2003 body-swap comedy. The film which hits theaters on August 8, brings a brand-new twist to the familiar switcheroo with four characters swapping bodies this time, just as Anna’s wedding plans spiral out of control.The story follows Anna as an adult now and soon to be bride who is navigating the stress of blending two families. Her daughter (played by Julia Butters) and future stepdaughter Lily (played by Sophia Hammons) don’t see eye to eye, creating major tension. Enter Tess, the ever-supportive mom who tries to keep things in check. But when a bachelorette party visits a fortune teller takes a supernatural turn where things get freaky again.Body swap 2.0: This time, it’s four peopleUnlike the mother daughter switch of the original movie, this time lightning strikes twice, quite literally. The fortune teller hints at life lessons that must be learned, and soon Anna, Tess, her daughter, and Lily find themselves trapped in each other’s lives. Anna and her daughter switch bodies while Tess and Lily swap as well by doubling the confusion, laughs and emotional chaos.In a hilarious twist, Lily who is now in Tess’s body tries to sabotage Anna’s wedding by pushing her toward her old flame Jake played by Chad Michael Murray who reprises his role from the original film.
