Indore: A 35-year-old private bank employee was allegedly beaten to death by his friend during a drinking session in Indore’s Panchwati Colony on Tuesday afternoon.Aerodrome police station in-charge Varendra Kushwah said, the employee was identified as Jitendra Meena.
The incident occurred around 1 pm when Jitendra was consuming alcohol with his friend, Dharmendra Panwar.Police said a dispute erupted between the two men. As the argument intensified, Dharmendra allegedly assaulted Jitendra with a liquor bottle and then struck him on the head with a nearby water-filling motor. The attack left Jitendra with severe head injuries, leading to his death on the spot.Investigators said Jitendra had been living alone after his wife reportedly left him around seven years ago.Following the incident, police reached the spot, sent the body for postmortem examination and registered a murder case. The accused is absconding, and a search was launched to trace and arrest him.
