From a two-time NBA Champion to now becoming the No. 1 ranked Flag Football quarterback, Rajon Rondo is showing his versatility and how. Hobby turns into another career prospect for Rajon Rondo
A top 5 NBA PG of all time, Rajon Rondo took up a new hobby in flag football after he retired from the NBA in 2022. But playing flag football seems to have become another calling for him, and Rondo, according to recent reports, is now the No. 1 ranked Flag Football quarterback. Can you imagine if he had gone for the NFL instead of the NBA?
Allegedly, he played quarterback at Eastern High School in Louisville, Kentucky, before his mother steered him towards basketball, and he set his sights on the NBA.
Rondo has previously said that he could’ve made the NFL if he had fully committed to football. But well, if not football, he is now surely the top star in flag football - even if he is reaching 40.
Rajon Rondo retired from the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers
After a 16-year-long career, Rajon Rondo decided to bid adieu to the NBA in 2022, having last played for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Before that, he won two NBA championships - first in 2008 with the Boston Celtics and his second with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020. He was a 4x NBA All-Star (2010-2013), was named to the All-Defensive Team 4 times, and was a 3x NBA assists leader.
While he has retired from the NBA, he took on a new hobby in flag football, trying to fit into something he loved once upon a time. And looks like those skills were just lying dormant all these years, waiting for him to dust off the cobwebs and start throwing again. He has allegedly won quite a few competitions with his team, and has now become the best quarterback in the game in all of America.
