The Kansas City Chiefs might be three-time Super Bowl champs, but off the field? Things just got messy. Former player and team employee Ramzee Robinson has filed a lawsuit against the team and the allegations are heavy.

We’re talking racial pay disparity, wrongful termination, and being blocked from job opportunities after getting fired. Chiefs fans are reacting with a mix of disbelief, frustration, and serious side-eye.

Ex-Chiefs exec claims he was fired over false accusations and wasn’t even shown proof

Robinson, who spent nearly a decade with the Chiefs and most recently served as Director of Player Engagement, says the team unfairly fired him in February 2025. Why? According to him, his boss accused him of attacking a white female coworker and said there was security footage to back it up.

But here’s the twist, Robinson says he never saw the footage. Despite asking, he was shown nothing and was fired six days after the Super Bowl.Now, he’s suing the Chiefs, saying the team’s actions were discriminatory and retaliatory. He also says the real reason behind his firing had less to do with the alleged incident and more to do with his push for fair compensation.

Lawsuit accuses the Chiefs of paying Black employees less than white counterparts

One of the biggest bombshells? Robinson’s claim that Black business-side employees were consistently underpaid compared to their white colleagues.

In his complaint, he says he started at $35K and only hit $125K by 2024, well below league averages for similar roles. The kicker? When he asked for a compensation review, team president Mark Donovan reportedly refused.It doesn’t stop there. The lawsuit also points to another example, an African-American woman allegedly denied a promotion and raise while a white woman was later hired for the same role at $80K. Fans online are calling it a “clear pattern” and asking why the NFL hasn’t stepped in yet.

Chiefs also accused of blocking his career after firing him

After being let go, Robinson says the Houston Texans wanted to interview him. But guess what? The Chiefs allegedly blocked that too. According to the lawsuit, they cited contract restrictions despite firing him already. That move led to an additional claim of tortious interference, meaning the team allegedly sabotaged his future job chances.

When reached for comment, the Chiefs didn’t say much. In a statement, the team said they maintain a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination but declined to comment on an ongoing legal matter.
