The Gandhotsavam (Urus festival) commenced with religious fervour at the Ameen Peer Dargah, popularly known as Pedda Dargah, in Kadapa on Friday, drawing thousands of devotees from across the southern States and Maharashtra.
On behalf of the State government, Government Whip and local MLA Reddeppagari Madhavi, District Collector Sridhar Cherukuri, and TDP politburo member and district president R. Srinivasa Reddy presented a ‘Chadar’ at the Dargah as a mark of respect.
