Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations will be held for nine days in Srisailam starting August 27. Special pujas and rituals will be offered to Ratna Garbha Ganapati in the main temple, Sakshi Ganapati near the temple and also to the Panchaloha idol, that will be installed at the Yagashala.
A clay idol will be installed at the Sakshi Ganapati temple where the pujas will be held. According to temple Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao, the festivities will commence on August 27 with Yagashala pravesam and other rituals. From August 28 to September 4, the temple priests will perform Ganapati homams, Upanishad Parayana, Mandaparadhana and other regular rituals. The festivities will come to an end on September 5 morning with Purnahithi.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that devotees can participate in the pujas to be performed for the clay idol virtually (Paroksha Seva) by payment of ₹1,116 through www.srisailadevasthanam.org. The details of the link through which devotees can participate in the seva virtually will be send to the devotees. The puja can also be viewed by all the devotees on Srisaila TV or YouTube channel.
