GHAZIABAD: A 36-year-old woman was shot dead by her 40-year-old husband in Ajnara Integrity, a high-rise society in Raj Nagar Extension. The incident took place when the accused reached the house for a passport and a fight took place between the couple.

During which the accused shot his wife in front of his 11 year-old daughter. Later, he escaped. According to police, the deceased was identified as Rubby, a resident of Ajnara Integrity. She was living with her two daughters while her husband, Vikash, was not living with them for the past two months.Around 7:30 am today, Vikash came into the society on his motorcycle and went to the flat in Tower-F. Vikash rang the doorbell several times, but no one opened the door.

Then, he reached through the iron grille on the gate, moved it aside, and somehow unlocked the door. As soon as the door opened, his wife stopped him from entering the house. Vikash pushed his wife aside and entered the house, leading to a physical altercation between them.During the struggle, Vikash shot his wife with a gun and fled from the house. At that time, the 11-year-old daughter of the couple was present, and she told police that her father shot her mother during a fight.

Meanwhile, the elder daughter of the couple went to school.Upasna Pandey, ACP said that the man went to take his passport and the couple used to fight in the past as well. The couple were booked under a gangster act in 2020 while both were involved in a murder case as well. Several police teams have been formed to nab the accused.
