Goa Fire: MLA Michael Lobo Demands Safety Audit After 25 Die at Birch by Romeo Lane

In a devastating tragedy, at least 25 people were killed in a fire at the 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub in Goa's Arpora. The blaze, suspected to be caused by a cylinder blast, trapped victims in the basement. BJP MLA Michael Lobo, who visited the spot, expressed his distress, stating, 'We'll have to take safety audit of all the other clubs in the state of Goa, which is very important.' Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has ordered a magisterial inquiry, and the police have arrested the club's owner. DGP Alok Kumar confirmed the recovery of bodies, mostly staff members.
