'God Is Our Strength': Erika Kirk's Social Media Post Hours Before Husband Charlie Was Shot Dead

Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in the neck during a Utah campus event. Hours before the attack, his wife Erika Kirk had shared Bible verses on X.

Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika Kirk, posted a verse from the Bible hours before her husband was shot and killed during an event in Utah.

“Psalm 46:1-God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble," Erika Kirk posted on X.

Even a day before that, Erika had posted another verse from the Holy book, which read, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!"

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was on campus for one of his student-outreach events, featuring his trademark format of taking questions and challenging opponents to debate on the most polarising issues of the day, including gun violence and race.

About 3,000 people were in attendance.

He was shot in his neck, leading to his death.
