Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce are more than football stars, they are also co-owners of Garage Beer, a light lager launched from their Ohio roots. Their father, Ed Kelce, has been deeply involved in supporting the business, often appearing in ads and even joking with his sons on set.

But this week, Ed took a serious tone. During a visit to Ocean Drive Sandbar in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, he noticed Garage Beer being served in a Modelo glass. Ed called out the mistake on Facebook, demanding his sons fix the issue, saying, “Gotta fix this boys.”

The branding problem came to light when Ed Kelce ordered a Garage Beer at Ocean Drive Sandbar. Instead of seeing it poured into a branded Garage Beer glass, the drink arrived in a Modelo glass.

For Ed, who has helped Jason and Travis build their beer’s image from the start, the slip was too big to ignore. He posted the photo on Facebook last week, writing: “A Garage Beer in a Modelo glass at Ocean Drive Sandbar in Sea Isle City… Gotta fix this boys.”Ed even added his own design idea for proper glassware, featuring the Garage Beer logo and the tagline “Classic Light Beer.”His reaction shows how serious the Kelce family is about making sure their brand has the right look wherever it is served.

Jason Kelce explains the fun behind Garage Beer ads

While Ed focused on branding, Jason Kelce spoke about the creative direction of their promotions. At the premiere of BREWMITE II on August 16, 2025, in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Jason told reporters that their goal is simple.

“I don’t think we should over-complicate it,” Jason said. “All the best beer ads I know are fun, creative… you’re doing something stupid together and it’s funny.”The new 17-minute spoof ad starred Jason, Travis, and UFC legend Chuck Liddell in a martial arts parody. It reflects the Kelce brothers’ approach, mixing humor, family, and personality into a straightforward beer brand. Now, with Ed’s sharp eye on details, the Garage Beer team has a new challenge: making sure every pour matches the name on the can.
