Goyal urges people to vote for devpt, reject ‘jungle raj’ politics in Bihar

Patna: Union minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday hoped Bihar will choose development through their votes and defeat those who promote the politics of ‘jungle raj’, corruption, and violence.Speaking at an event of Bihar Industries Association (BIA) and later addressing a press conference in Patna, Goyal highlighted the various efforts being made by the Centre to accelerate the country’s economic and industrial development.Discussing the Centre’s support for Bihar’s industrial development, he said the double-engine NDA govts are jointly committed to empowering Bihar industrially. Goyal said the Centre’s top priority is ensuring balanced development in states of eastern and northeastern India like Bihar.He urged the entrepreneurs to vote for a stable and progressive govt in the state assembly elections and said only a double-engine govt can give Bihar a new identity of development.He said the previous govts considered keeping Bihar backward a political wisdom, but the NDA considers development its own political agenda. Goyal said India will remain the world’s fastest-growing nation for the next 30 years and urged Bihar’s industry to play an active role in the state’s industrial development through innovation, investment, and job creation.BIA president Ramlal Khaitan, general secretary Amarnath Jaiswal, secretary Anil Sinha, CII Bihar president Gaurav Sah, Bihar Mahila Udyami Sangh president Usha Jha, as well as industry representatives were present on the occasion.

Goyal at the press meet said if by mistake, the Mahagathbandhan comes to power in Bihar, Congress, Lalu Prasad and his son Tejashwi will once again unleash ‘jungle raj’ in the state. “The people of Bihar will give a befitting reply to those who practice the politics of violence, bitterness and jungle raj,” he said.The Union minister said the people of Bihar will not fall prey to the false promises of INDIA bloc. “Bihar is the pride of Indian civilisation and has seen progress under Nitish Kumar’s good governance.

Bihar has brought pride to the country. Its people have become successful entrepreneurs. Today, there are 4,000 startups in Bihar,” he said.Referring to the NDA’s manifesto, he said it will give Bihar further impetus. “The Bihar govt has even formulated a plan to manufacture toys. Plans have been formulated to advance industrialisation under a well-thought-out policy,” he said.
