Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday announced that a grand parade will be held in Gujarat Ekta Nagar on October 31 every year to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Addressing the media on the occasion to mark 150th anniversary of Patel that falls on Friday (October 31), Shah said no body can deny Patel’s contribution in uniting the country during India’s freedom struggle.
“Along with Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel formed backbone of India’s freedom struggle,” he said, adding that the Congress party has left no stone unturned to make nation forget Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, adding that they did not construct any statue or any memorial.
He also announced that Bharat Parv 2025 will be celebrated from November 1 till November 15 to mark Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary.
