During a wedding ceremony in Maharashtra’s Amravati, a groom named Sujal Ram Samudra, 22, was brutally stabbed on stage in front of the guests. The shocking attack was recorded by a drone, which not only captured the incident but also tracked the assailant and his accomplice for almost two kilometres.

The attacker, Ragho Jitendra Bakshi, approached the groom and stabbed him three times with an iron knife, causing injuries to his thigh and knee. The drone footage, now a crucial piece of evidence, was seized by the police and shows the attacker’s face and escape route.

The video starts from the stage and follows the attacker, wearing an orange hoodie, as he fled the venue, got on a bike parked outside, and escaped. Another individual in black joined him on the bike. Despite a relative’s attempt to catch them, the two attackers managed to evade capture, with the drone tracking them for two kilometres.

Initial investigations suggest that the attack resulted from a minor dispute during a DJ performance, where the groom and the accused were allegedly pushed while dancing. The altercation seemed to have enraged Bakshi, leading to the violent assault. Amid the chaos, the attacker also attempted to stab the groom’s father, Ramji Samudra, before fleeing.

A case has been filed at Badnera Police Station, and the investigation is ongoing. Police are using the drone footage to track the suspects and have initiated a manhunt. The accused remains at large.

The injured groom was taken to RIMS Hospital, Amravati, where doctors reported that he had sustained deep wounds but was in stable condition.
