Guntur Municipal Commissioner orders suspension of officials for land encroachment negligence

Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) Commissioner Puli Srinivasulu, on Wednesday (October 29, 2025) night, expressed strong displeasure over the encroachment of GMC land and drain at Pattabhipuram Main Road, ordering the suspension of Town Planning Building Officer (in-charge) Kotaru Narendra Babu and Ward Planning Secretary Puttam Raju Ravi Madhav for negligence.

The Commissioner inspected the site near Poojitha School, stopped the illegal construction, and restored the drain boundary with JCBs.

He instructed officials to issue notices to the builder, submit ward-wise reports on unauthorised structures within two days, and take strict action against those who fail to prevent illegal constructions.
