Habitual offender held in Kondapur with 560 grams of ganja

A man was arrested by the Shamshabad District Task Force (DTF) in Kondapur on Tuesday for illegally transporting dry ganja.

The officials seized 560 grams of the contraband from his possession, along with a mobile phone and an autorickshaw used in the offence.

According to investigators, the accused, identified as Asif, procured ganja from Bidar and brought it to Hyderabad in his auto.

Police revealed that he is a habitual offender, with an earlier Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act case registered against him at Serilingampally excise station in January this year.

The arrested man, along with the seized contraband and case papers, was handed over to the Serilingampally police for further investigation.
