After a long hiatus, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan are reuniting for the horror thriller Haiwaan. The duo is currently shooting an adrenaline-pumping action sequence in Mumbai’s Churchgate area. According to reports, the elaborate scene involves around 30 to 40 vehicles.
Intense car chase shoot
As per Mid-Day, the makers have filmed a gripping cat-and-mouse chase sequence featuring 30–40 cars and about 100 junior artistes. The shoot took place near the Churchgate locality. Director Priyadarshan heaped praise on both the lead actors, noting that Saif and Akshay were completely in sync with how the scene needed to be executed and collaborated seamlessly. Known for his early-to-bed routine, Akshay reportedly shot for five consecutive nights to complete the sequence.
Akshay Kumar’s character reveal
Akshay recently took to Instagram to unveil his character’s look from the film, writing, “Last schedule of #Haiwaan… what a journey it’s been. This character has pushed, shaped, and surprised me in so many ways. Forever grateful to Priyan Sir—your sets feel like home. And Saif, thank you for the laughter, ease, and all those effortless moments on screen.”Haiwaan marks Akshay’s first negative role in 18 years.

Directed by Priyadarshan, the thriller Haiwaan stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. The film is inspired by the 2016 Malayalam hit Oppam, which originally featured Mohanlal.
